Fingal Libraries are delighted to have the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and their mobile information bus visit Balbriggan Library this Friday, 9th November from 10:30am-2:30pm.
The mobile information bus brings expert dementia advice, information and support directly to you in your community. Whether you have a specific question or a more complicated set of needs, the Alzheimer Society of Ireland aims to offer personalised advice on the day. There is a wide range of information booklets for you to take away for free. Why not drop by, no booking is required.

Fingal County Council launche dthis Fingal Alerts service during 2014. This means that if you live or work in Fingal then you can receive alerts directly from the Council as soon as they are issued through the service by SMS Text Message, Email, Smartphone App and social media. It is free to register for an account and Fingal County Council also deliver the text messages so there is no charge to receive text message alerts. Fingal County Council currently provides alerts for the following service categories:
Water Alerts via Irish Water: Text and Email alerts for Water Disruptions, Burst Mains or Boil Water Notifications
Scheduled Road Works and Road Closures: Alerts will include affected areas and offer advice on diversions
Flood Alerts: If there is a risk of flooding for a specific area then you will receive SMS, App and Email alerts
Severe Weather Warnings: Orange and Red status alerts issued by Met Eireann forward on by the Council
Planning Alerts: Local Planning Application Alerts and Local Area Plan Updates
Community Alerts: These will be used for local events taking place in Fingal, eg. Festivals, Parades, etc.
