Latest Bathing Water Results Excellent except Loughshinny beach and Rush South Beach Good and Claremont Poor Temporary Prohibition at Claremont Beach for 2 days


Latest Bathing Water Results - Temporary Prohibition (Do not Swim) Notice for Claremont beach, Howth for 2 days.


All bathing waters sampled on 28th August met the standard for “excellent” water quality apart from the following beaches;

  • Loughshinny beach and Rush South beach met the standard for “good” – Resamples arranged
  • Claremont beach has met the standard for “poor” – End of incident sample arranged

Following consultation with the HSE we will be raising a temporary Prohibition (Do not Swim) Notice for Claremont beach, Howth. Results will be available for this beach on Friday 1st September.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach.
