Temporary Do not Swim Notice removed from Velvet Strand Portmarnock  

Results received today from sample taken on 28th July, 2020 gave a return to “Excellent” status for water quality at Velvet Strand Portmarnock.

The temporary Do Not Swim notice issued on Monday has therefore been removed and this incident is now closed.

Members of the public can check for water quality at any of the monitored bathing waters in Ireland in advance by accessing the EPA website at www.beaches.ie or by checking the notice board at the entrance to each beach. 07 2020
